Greg Young on MightyMoose and EventStore
For the first interview of 2013 I have a real treat; Dev Celeb Greg Young spent a good hour with me talking about two of his projects MightyMoose and EventStore. We also wound up talking about architectural patterns and the inherit lack of the concept of current state in all mature domain models. Instead current state is a derrived concept created from a stream of previous events. We also mention an intriguing contest going on about finding the best us (or abuse) of an event store.
Quick note on ITunes support for my feed: I am flattered that some people want to add MSNetCast to their daily podcast routine. I am working on it and will get it done asap. In point of fact Google FeedBurner is messing with me when I try to register “My Brand” – meaning my custom URL – for the show. Right now I am feeding the feed to my url directly from the site. Once this is fixed FeedBurner – the BEST feed management system – has great support for ITunes podcasting content.
Greg Young labels himself a ‘nomadic developer’. Moreover he has noted that he has a tendency to migrate – going south in the winter and back north in the summer. He travels throughout the world working on great software projects, speaking at conferences and events as we goes. Greg is also getting married soon.
